This will be a double delegation committee.
At CTMUN 2012 [2.0], the UN Security Council will throw delegates into the year 2032 where they will be forced to abandon all current conceptions of geopolitics and tussle for supremacy in a world where the rules have dramatically changed. New permanent members and global powerhouses will try to assert their dominance while up and coming nations will seek to undermine them and make their own mark on the world. A host of new threats arise in different parts of the globe that will force committee members to constantly trade one foe for another and mounting suspicion will run rampant. As the struggle for vital resources reaches a boiling point, delegates will have to work with each other and against time in order to avoid a new era of chaos that will threaten the international world.
The Background Guide will fill in gaps between present day and 2032 and should be regarded as a starting point and primary source for research.
