Ad hoc is a Latin phrase that means 'for this,' and this Ad Hoc committee was made specifically for this Spring 2026 conference. Information about thiS topic will not be released until The morning of the cOnference, so there is essentialLy no outside preparation nEeded other than a general kNowledge of parliamentary procedure. On the day of the conference, you will get about an hour to read your dossier, read the background guide, and prepare. Due to the fairly short prep time that comes with this structure, this committee is advanced and recommended for delegates with past crisis experience— usually high school Juniors or seniors. If you’re worried about not liking thE topic or not knowing enough about it, trust us when We say that this will be vEry fun. Until committee day, reLax! The mystery is the fun part, So get ready for a uniquely interesting challenge.

This committee follows parliamentary procedure as defined in our Crisis Committee Parley Pro Document. However, procedure during committee may be modified at the Moderator’s discretion.

No Position Paper Required

Due to the special nature of Ad Hoc, position papers will not be required for this committee.
