For years the actions of Earth's mightiest heroes, the Avengers, have gone unchecked. While many lives have been saved, many more have been lost at the hands of these vigilantes. The Sokovia Accords will establish a UN Panel to oversee the actions of the Avengers. With the passing of these accords, the Avengers will no longer act unchecked and will be dispatched exclusively with UN approval. While Tony Stark (Iron Man) supports these accords, Steve Rogers (Captain America) has faith in his own judgement and believes that an organization like the Avengers must act independently. With two conflicting ideas regarding the Sokovia Accords, the Avengers have split and Civil War seems to loom on the horizon. Acting against the soon-to-be-ratified accords would be incriminating, but are the accords truly what is best for the free world? Can the Avengers come to an agreement or will the strongest soldiers on the planet be forced into division? While the Sokovia Accords are extremely controversial, an all-out-war between meta-humans, billionaires, and super-soldiers is the the last thing anyone wants.

Rules and Procedure

This committee follows parliamentary procedure as defined in our Crisis Committee Parley Pro Document. However, procedure during committee may be modified at the Moderator’s discretion.

Position Paper

All delegates wishing to be considered for an award must submit a position paper before the start of conference. Position paper quality will be included in consideration of awards, however paper quality will not hold as much weight in award consideration as actual committee performance. Position papers are meant to ensure a basis for delegate research and help delegates feel confident while participating during the conference.
