In this world, there are many strange creatures of legend, monsters that go bump in the night. In this crisis simulation, these cryptic creatures come to life in this cryptid crisis! After the regicide of cryptid society’s Queen Nessie rocked through the cryptid community, the once hidden society decided to come into the light, and to establish a society for themselves. Having had enough of human oppression and mistreatment, cryptid leaders from all over the world decided to meet in an effort to establish the world’s newest nation, one free from humans, run by a cryptid society. However, nation building is no small feat, and these mysterious creatures will soon face the challenges that come with creating a nation of their own, establishing a system of government, and maintaining a nation in a world that has never been kind to them. Will this group of cryptids be sent back into the shadows, or will human society have to learn to live with a new world power? In this alternate reality crisis simulation, you and your team are tasked with building a nation for all of cryptid society. Having lived in secrecy for so long, not all human nations take kindly to your new global presence, and you and your team must decide how to approach the daunting task of international relations with less than friendly countries. Do you fight back, slink into the shadows, or learn to establish a society for the cryptids of the world? It’s time for normal to meet the paranormal in this cryptid crisis.

Rules and Procedure
This committee follows parliamentary procedure as defined in our Crisis Committee Parley Pro Document. However, procedure during committee may be modified at the Moderator’s discretion.
Position Paper
All delegates wishing to be considered for an award must submit a position paper before the start of conference. Position paper quality will be included in consideration of awards, however paper quality will not hold as much weight in award consideration as actual committee performance. Position papers are meant to ensure a basis for delegate research and help delegates feel confident while participating during the conference.
