Norse Viking Saga
Background Guide
Coming out soon!
The Norns have spoken,
It all starts with the Battle of Hafrsfjord. The year is 872 CE, and Viking chief Harald Fairhair has unified Norway into a single kingdom for the first time. But will the peace last long? It’s the turning point of the Viking Age, the time of great trade and exploration, and the idea of “state” is still fragile and contested. Norse gods and sagas are woven into every major decision, shaping how leaders rule and how people justify violence and power. Delegates will navigate both internal instability, shaped by fractured loyalties, and external expansion to decide whether this new kingdom holds together or tears itself apart.
