Separatists

The galaxy stands at a breaking point. After generations of political neglect, economic exploitation, and corporate domination within the Galactic Republic, systems across the Outer Rim have risen in defiance, forming the Confederacy of Independent Systems. What began as a plea for fair representation has transformed into a determined fight for autonomy against a Republic that has grown complacent, corrupt, and beholden to inner‑rim elites. In this committee, delegates enter a chamber where former senators, planetary leaders, corporate magnates, Sith Lords, and military commanders unite under the shared belief that the Republic has failed its people. Yet even within the Separatist movement, unity is fragile; competing interests, secret agendas, and ideological divides threaten to fracture the alliance from within. Neutral powers, such as bounty hunters, Mandalorians, and other rogue actors, further complicate the struggle, pursuing their own ambitions as war spreads across the stars. Delegates must navigate diplomacy, warfare, espionage, and moral ambiguity as they shape the future of a galaxy fighting to break free from centralized control. In this crisis, no faction holds absolute truth, and every decision carries the weight of countless worlds seeking liberation.

Rules and Procedures

This committee follows parliamentary procedure as defined in our Standard Committee Parley Pro Document. However, procedure during committee may be modified at the Chair’s discretion.

Position Paper

All delegates wishing to be considered for an award must submit a position paper before the start of conference. Position paper quality will be included in consideration of awards, however paper quality will not hold as much weight in award consideration as actual committee performance. Position papers are meant to ensure a basis for delegate research and help delegates feel confident while participating during the conference.
