Dear Delegates and Sponsors,

Welcome to CTMUN Fall 2025! My name is Cyrus, and I’m excited to serve as CTMUN’s Secretary-General this year. I’m currently a junior at the University of Texas at Austin, pursuing dual majors in mathematics and economics, along with a minor in national security and international business.

Staffing CTMUN was my first model UN experience, and I discovered the organization during my freshman year in college. I have chaired and vice-chaired several crisis and standard committees before serving as CTMUN’s Undersecretary-General of Finance in 2024. During my first two years, I also competed as a college-level delegate at several conferences around the country as part of CTMUN’s traveling branch, TexMUN.

These experiences provided incredible leadership opportunities and invaluable lessons, and joining CTMUN has undoubtedly been the greatest decision I've made during my time at UT so far. I am grateful for all the people I have met in this community and their passion for debating international affairs, historical events, pop culture, and all the other fascinating topics that comprise the model UN experience.

I have always been impressed by the skill, preparation, and professionalism that CTMUN’s delegates exhibit during the conference. Our staffers and the OSG have spent the past several months training in parliamentary procedure, building on their experience, and planning logistics for our fall conference. We are excited to provide you with the best model UN experience on November 8th and 9th, and to see who among you can earn the honor of Best Delegate!

Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns. Good luck, and see you soon!

Sincerely,

Perry Cyrus Bushong III

Secretary-General
